Families raising children with special needs are faced with difficult choices and at times overwhelming responsiblities every day. As an elected official, you also face difficult choices that affect how those needs are most efficiently met in your community.
Take 5 Wisconsin is about taking a break from the every day to establish relationships with families raising children with disabilities in your district- families
that offer unique perspective and insight to human services in our state.
The goal of this program, which is supported by the Wisconsin Council on Developmental Disabilities, is to help build understanding of what family support programs, special education and respite care mean to the quality of people's lives and the economy of your community.
