Making the first call...
This may be the first time the families you have selected have contacted an elected official. Encourage them to write down their thoughts and think about the various options for plans A, B, and C.
Some families may need you to assist in making the call. If you know the legislator or feel that making a call ahead of time may be helpful, please do that.
September 19th, we will be delivering notices to all legislators at the State Capitol. We will have materials available for you if you choose to deliver notices to local officals, school board members, Mayor, County board, etc. The hope is that the official will know about the program and feel comfortable saying "Yes" to a visit.
The calls should be made after October 1st
