Take 5 Wisconsin is an initiative to raise awareness of the challenges that families including a child with a disability face on a daily basis. We help facilitate and build relationships with families and legislators throughout the state.
Families invite policymakers into their homes so they may experience firsthand how their decisions affect Wisconsin families including a child with a disability.
The first series of meetings took place in Spring 2006. Feedback from families and policymakers was overwhelmingly positive.

Take 5 Wisconsin will continue to organize and support visits of policymakers with the families they represent. Local coordinators provide the support needed to schedule visits and make those visits a positive experience for all.
